Curse of the Weredeer is produced by Lloyd Kaufman, president of Troma Entertainment and the creator of the Toxic Avenger. In his directorial debut, Ben Johnson grabs this campy horror by the antlers, and probably the balls, honestly. Nadia White, Babette Bombshell, Derek Woodrow Johnson, Zac Amico , Eric Woodard, Jazmyn Hanks, Kevin Tit, and more star in this . The soundtrack, my God, do I love who is featured. We’re cursed with music by Green Jellÿ, Theophobia, Jak Fiddler, Dethwarrant, among others. Weredeer hunting season aims for Fall 2022.

Synopsis

A strange and and mythical beast bites Randy on the way to his Bachelor Party/Hunting Trip weekend. What comes next is a shock to everyone around him…Murder, betrayal, exploitation, corruption! Where does it stop?! Randy finds himself in a race against time as he struggles to cope with his impending marriage, and this horrible, dark secret. Knowing that we were old high school classmates, I decided to reach out to Ben Johnson, the director of Curse of the Weredeer, for his blessing on this mini-preview. I asked him a few questions, but one to cap off the pleasant conversation.

Q: What do you and your team hope to achieve with Curse of the Weredeer?

Ben: “We already achieved the goal. We made the movie. Other than that, we just want people to to laugh a little and maybe to think a little. We’re not solving the world’s problems with a horror/comedy, but we’re also not adding to them. If one kid in a small town realizes that the perceived barriers to filmmaking aren’t near as lofty as Hollywood wants you to believe, then I think we’ve done our job.”
