Deshaun Watson Suspended 6 Games. Browns QB found to violate league personal conduct policy

It has been reported that Judge Sue. L Robinson has made her ruling on Deshaun Watson’s case. The newly acquired Cleveland Browns quarterback will be able to play in 2022, but not until serving a 6-game suspension. Robinson has found that Watson violated the NFL personal conduct policy. No fines were posed on Watson, only a suspension.

Watson has been accused of sexual assault and inappropriate conduct during massage sessions in civil lawsuits filed by 25 women between March 2020 and March 2021.

It was also reported that Watson settled three of the four remaining lawsuits against him, leaving only one open. Since Robinson has imposed punishment, either side will have three days to submit an appeal in writing.

The NFLPA issued a statement on Deshaun Watson pending arbitration decision. It’s expected at 9 a.m. Eastern today, per a league source. It also appears that the Players Union will stand by Judge Sue. L Robinson ruling regardless of outcome.

If the suspension holds up and is not reduced during a likely appeal, Watson can return to practice during the second half of the suspension. That would be the beginning of Week 4. Watson can also practice during training camp as well under the CBA agreement.
