The Tampa Bay Rays traded outfielder Brett Phillips to the Baltimore Orioles for cash considerations.

Brewers acquire reliever Rosenthal from Giants. (August 2nd)

Milwaukee added veteran relief pitcher Trevor Rosenthal in a deal with the Giants.

Another Big Closer to a New Team. Iglesias to Atlanta. (August 2nd)

Closer Raisel Iglesias has been traded from the Angels to the Braves.

The Braves have acquired veteran right-handed starter Jake Odorizzi from the Houston Astros for relief pitcher Will Smith.

Houston Astros gets 1B/OF Trey Mancini and RHP Jayden Murray. The Baltimore Orioles get: RHP Seth Johnson and Chayce McDermott and the Tampa Bay Rays get CF Jose Siri.

Montas is Traded to the Bronx. (August 1st)

The New York Yankees today announced that they have acquired RHP Frankie Montas and RHP Lou Trivino from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for LHP JP Sears, INF Cooper Bowman, RHP Luis Medina and LHP Ken Waldichuk.

Royals acquire LHP Anthony Misiewicz from the Mariners in exchange for Cash Considerations. (August 1st)

Rays Acquire Garrett Cleavinger from Dodgers. (August 1st)

The Rays and Dodgers announced a deal sending reliever Garrett Cleavinger from Los Angeles to Tampa Bay. Minor league outfielder Germán Tapia is headed back to the Dodgers. Tapia is an 18-year-old outfielder from the Dominican Republic. He has spent the past two seasons in rookie ball in the Rays organization.

The Brewers are trading reliever Josh Hader to the Padres. (August 1st)

The Padres get there new closer with a big trade with the Brewers. The Padres send back to the Milwaulkee Left-handed closer Taylor Rogers, lefty pitching prospect Robert Gasser, outfielder Esteury Ruiz and right-hander Dinelson Lamet.

The New York Yankees acquire right-handed reliever Scott Effross from the Chicago Cubs. (August 1st)

The New York Yankees are finalizing a deal to acquire right-handed reliever Scott Effross from the Chicago Cubs. Effross, 28, is a rookie with five more years of club control. Effross has a 2.66ERA on the year with 50Ks in 44.0 innings pitched.

The Cubs receive RHP Hayden Wesneski. Wesneski, 24, is the Yankees’ No. 7 prospect who has pitched in Triple-A this season for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

Atlanta trades for infielder Ehire Adrianza from Nationals. (August 1st)

The Braves announced Monday that they’ve acquired infielder Ehire Adrianza from the Nationals in exchange for minor league outfielder Trey Harris. In a corresponding roster move, Robinson Cano has been designated for assignment.

The Cubs have acquired minor-league RHP Raynel Espinal from the Giants for INF Dixon Machado. (July 31st)

The Giants take a low-risk flyer on Machado to fill SS need. With the recent placement of Thairo Estrada on the Injured List, the Giants trade for Cubs Dixon Machado. Machado, 30, was hitting .312 with a .402 on-base percentage for Triple-A Iowa and has not made a major league appearance since 2018. Dixon is a strong defensive infielder, something the Giants desperately while awaiting the return of Estrada.

The Cubs received 30-year-old right-hander Raynel Espinal in return for Machado. He had a 5.29 ERA in 19 games for Triple-A Sacramento before being moved.

Tampa Bay acquired veteran outfielder David Peralta in a trade with Arizona. (July 30th)

The Diamondbacks move on from pending Free Agent Outfielder David Peralta as he is traded to Tampa Bay Saturday. The Rays traded catching prospect Christian Cerda to finalize the deal.

Peralta is heading to a team who has been plagued with injuries this season and will immediately fill a void in the outfield from missing veteran Kevin Kiermaier, who is out for the season. Peralta is a 34-year-old veteran and have a career .803 OPS in his nine years in the league. He’s currently hitting .248 with 12 home runs in 87 games this season.

Cerda, 19, was hitting .315 with a .982 OPS playing in the Florida Complex League (rookie) for Tampa Bay.

The Cardinals acquire left-handed pitcher JoJo Romero from Phillies in exchange for infielder Edmundo Sosa. (July 30th)

The St. Louis Cardinals add pitching depth from Phillies as they acquire JoJo Romero Saturday. The team, who has seen many pitching injuries such as Jack Flaherty this season look to strengthen the pen and keep its playoff hopes alive.

Romero has a Career ERA of 7.89 and has only seen 2.0 innings of work in the majors this season.

The Cardinals send infielder Edmundo Sosa over to Philadelphia in the trade. Sosa, who won the starting SS job during the 2021 season over Paul DeJong has not had the best season thus far. The former Cardinal has also had some defensive mistakes that seems to ultimately have led St. Louis to deem him expendable.

Sosa has a 3.8 Career WAR but is only batting .189 with 0HR and 8RBI’s this season.

The Los Angeles Dodgers trade for Cubs RHP Chris Martin in exchange for Outfielder Zach McKinstry. (July 30th)

The Los Angeles Dodgers have added to their bullpen by trading for Chicago Cubs right-handed reliever Chris Martin.

Star pitcher Luis Castillo heads to Seattle for Handful of Prospects. (July 29th)

The Mariners landed star pitcher Luis Castillo from the Reds in exchange for minor leaguers Noelvi Marte, Levi Stoudt, Edwin Arroyo and Dylan Moore.

Mets acquire Tyler Naquin, Phillip Diehl in trade with Reds. (July 28th)

The NL East leading Mets land two veteran players to help bolster active roster for two minor league players.

Yankees acquire All-Star Andrew Benintendi from Royals (July 27th)

The New York Yankees trade three pitching prospects to Kansas City for Outfielder Andrew Benintendi.

Mets get Daniel Vogelbach from Pirates (July 22nd)

The New York Mets makes its first trade before the deadline to acquire designated hitter Daniel Vogelbach from Pittsburgh.

Mariners acquire Carlos Santana from Royals (June 27th)

The first trade of the MLB trade deadline season is off the books. The Seattle Mariners have acquired Veteran 1B Carlos Santana for a pair of minor league players.
