Zach Edey Returning to Purdue. Will NOT Enter NBA Draft.

The NBA will have to wait another year to see the reigning National Collegiate Player of the Year enter the Draft as Purdue big man Zach Edey withdrew his name right before Wednesday’s Deadline.

This Marks the second straight year the Collegiate players of the year have returned to school as Oscar Tshiebwe returned to Kentucky last season after winning the award in 2021/22.

Edey was outstanding last season and will be a huge addition yet again for the Boilermakers in a tough Big Ten Conference. Last season, he averaged 22.9 points and 12.9 rebounds and shot 60.7% from the field.

It will be incredibly likely that Edey will once again hold the best odds to win the award once again as we head into the season.
