Dylan Crews has seen hype and been on the radar of many pro teams since his junior year of high school. He was projected to possibly go in the first round right out of high school but decided to take his talents to the Bayou with LSU.

Crews has performed for three years in Baton Rouge, hitting for average, getting on base, posting solid contact rates and even playing above-average defense in center field.

Crews is one of the best candidates by far to be selected with the first overall pick in this year’s MLB Draft. He has pushed his draft stock to the moon this season with a batting average over .420.

One of his biggest improvements this season was in the outfield. Crews recorded a perfect fielding percentage this season going 159/159 in Putouts. Although he improved drastically, fielding and his arm would probably be considered his weakness, he still has enough potential to stick in the center of the outfield at the next level. Worst case scenario is Crews is seen as a corner outfielder with a ton of upside.

Crews is a TRUE Five Tool Player. It’s safe to say that He is the most exciting player in the country and his talents should easily translate to the next level. Expect Crews to be one of the first position players to make his MLB debut (barring injury, of course) possibly even as soon as the end of the 2024 season.

“The reason I came here is to win a national championship, to put a new year up on that Intimidator..”
