Rays Look to Sweep Cards – Game 3 Best Bets

Runs have been hard to come by for St. Louis in this road trip to St. Pete and they won’t be any easier to obtain in this series finale against Shane McClanahan. Luckily, the Cardinals have an ace of their own who has shut down the competition in 2022, Miles Mikolas. The Cardinals look to salvage the series with a win in Tropicana.

There is a good reason the run line opened at 7 in this contest. Games started by Mikolas and McClanahan have collectively yielded 5.6 runs on average. While this would logically say to lean toward the under, St. Louis isn’t a team who can be held down for long. They’ve scored 4.74 runs per game on the road, while Tampa hasn’t been as good at home despite the 11-4 route they put on the Cards. The u7 play, per our models, only has a 53% chance of coming to fruition and while the -110 odds reflect that, I’m not satisfied with an under bet below 8. If the line shifts to 8, let’s play the under.

As far as something to lock in now, I’m putting my money on the plus odds and the Cardinals ML (+145 on DraftKings Sportsbook). No sweep for the Rays.
